Dana Peebles is a Hamilton-based emerging textile and fine artist using  diverse fibre media. Her textile work challenges traditional uses of embroidery, applique, and beading techniques to go beyond a decorative art function. 

This Secret Messages exhibition takes traditional meanings of flowers from Victorian flower language codes and translates them into three-word stories. Each story consists of three embroidered, appliqued and beaded floral images. Each flower in the series represents a different meaning and when you combine the meanings of the first two images you find out the ending of the story.
